Painter & Decorator (Commercial Projects - Working Away Required)

Full-Time | Nationwide Travel Required Excellent Rates and Working Away Allowance

We are looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Painter & Decorator to join our growing team. This role involves working on a variety of commercial projects across the UK, with a primary focus on car showrooms, dealerships, and commercial premises.

We take pride in delivering work to the highest standards. Much of our work is carried out in high-profile public and commercial environments, so attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work to detailed specifications are essential.

The successful candidate will be reliable, adaptable, and capable of working across a range of projects and customer sites. Regular travel and working away from home are required, along with flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, and occasional weekends when project schedules demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating, including cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming.
  • Apply paints, coatings, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Carry out decorating work to a high standard within commercial environments.
  • Follow project specifications and customer requirements accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, site managers, and colleagues.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and to the expected quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator, ideally within commercial environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of painting and decorating techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality workmanship with strong attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and working away from home.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and customer-focused.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who takes pride in their work, maintains high standards, and can represent the company professionally on customer sites. The ideal candidate will be positive, dependable, and willing to travel as required to support projects across the UK.

If you're an experienced Painter & Decorator looking for varied commercial projects and are happy working away from home, we'd love to hear from you.
