Park Blue Homes are looking for a full-time handyman/gardener to regularly maintain their children's homes in Swindon, Chippenham, Brinkworth and Radstock.

The position will involve maintaining the gardens at 6 children's homes during the summer months. During the winter the work will be more handyman/maintenance and will involve painting and decorating, fixing issues within the homes, some fencing etc. The applicant must be able to work alongside the current handyman taking directions from him and be prepared to be proactive, forward thinking and work at a quick and efficient speed.

Duties will include various maintenance jobs such as painting, mending wall holes, changing locks, flooring, tiling, laying vinyl as well as outdoor maintenance such as fencing, building sheds and general gardening work within the summer months. The gardening work includes cutting grass, weeding, pruning, growing plants and vegetables.

The right candidate must be able to work alone and organize what needs doing, be motivated and reliable, they will need to be proactive and organized with a good eye for detail, being able to understand gardening and plants is an absolute must.

Experience with gardening is essential as well as handyman experience. The right candidate must have the supply of their own tools for gardening/maintenance and their own transport. The right candidate will need to have a clean driving license and be happy to have a DBS check. Ideally someone that has a DBS on the update service with a clean criminal record and driving license. Fuel cards and trade account cards will also be provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
