Full job description
Overview
This is a full time, permanent role which does not involve shift patterns. The ideal candidate will live within 15 miles of Cheadle ST10 and have a strong background in using two pack paint.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Mix paints and coatings according to specifications to achieve desired colours and finishes.
- Apply paint using on site spray equipment to ensure an even finish.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during the painting process.
- Fabricate and assemble components as needed for specific projects.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
- Work well with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to quality standards.
- Conduct basic maths calculations for measurements and quantities of materials required.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge in the operation of equipment used in painting tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in painting using two pack paint.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or specifications is preferred.
- Good physical stamina as the role may require standing for long periods, working from height and lifting materials
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and material calculations.
This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated person who will work independently the majority of the time in the spray booth. NOTE - PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH TWO PACK PAINTS
