Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. This position is for a self-employed worker. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction. The successful applicant will be able to communicate effectively with clients and team members, driving projects to completion with professionalism.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.
  • Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Mix paints and other materials to achieve desired colours and textures.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, reporting any issues as necessary.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on colour choices and finishes.
  • Keep work areas clean and organised throughout the duration of each project.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in English to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Previous experience in painting and decorating is essential and all candidates must hold a valid CSCS Blue Card or above in Painting and Decorating.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between job sites.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 – 45 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 30/06/2025
