Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a minimum of two years time served, have a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, and ensuring that all work meets high standards of quality and craftsmanship. The successful applicant will be able to communicate effectively with clients and team members, ensuring that projects are completed to satisfaction.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Select appropriate materials and colours based on client preferences and project requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace throughout the duration of projects.
• Communicate with clients to understand their vision and provide updates on progress.
• Drive to various job sites as required, ensuring timely arrival and completion of tasks.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience in painting and decorating is essential.
• Ability to drive is required for travel between job sites.
• Proficiency in English is necessary for effective communication with clients and team members.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail are highly valued.
• Previous experience in customer service or client-facing roles is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £125.00-£150.00 per day

• painting: 2 years (preferred)
