Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting and decorating techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. Your enthusiasm for craftsmanship, combined with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude, will contribute to creating visually stunning environments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in construction painting while working on diverse projects that challenge and inspire.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
  • Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and attention to detail.
  • Follow project specifications and safety guidelines to deliver high-quality results efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and project managers to coordinate work schedules and clarify requirements.
  • Use appropriate tools and equipment safely, including brushes, rollers, spray guns, scaffolding, and ladders.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and disposing of waste responsibly.
  • Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure standards are met before project completion.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction painting or decorating roles is preferred.
  • Valid driving license to travel between multiple job sites as needed.
  • Strong communication skills in English for clear interactions with team members and clients.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications accurately.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to working at heights and handling hazardous materials.
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions.
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail to deliver flawless finishes.
