Full job description
Our story starts in France in the 1980s, when we created the first ever quick-frozen part-baked baguette. Since then, Délifrance has never stopped developing bakery, patisserie and savoury products for foodservice providers, retailers and bakers.
We are looking for a Handy-person to join us at our Southall (UB2 4SB) site in West London.
Main responsibilities:
- Adherence to set operational maintenance targets
- Undertake light installation i.e. cabinets, desks carpentry work.
- Assist with electrical plumbing and HVAC repairs.
- Painting and decorating the facility.
- Pest proofing .
- Weekly Fire door inspections and fire alarm testing.
- Working as per maintenance schedule and ensure deadlines are met.
- Attending regular operations meetings to discuss maintenance requirements & performance.
- Assist in fallen pallets recovery with the warehouse team.
- Minor loading bays dock levelers and traffic light system repairs.
- Ability to negotiate best prices in line with industry guideline.
Required skills and competencies:
- Apprentice trained or minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field.
- PAF trained in line with working at height
- SEMA Racking inspection & Repair trained
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment’s.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical work.
- Flexible approach to hours of work
- Effectively communicate in English (both verbally and in writing) and to understand requests from all levels and external people
