Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting and decorating techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. Your work will enhance the aesthetic appeal and value of residential, commercial, or industrial properties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship while working in a fast-paced environment that values precision, professionalism, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion
  • Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with skill and attention to detail
  • Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding to complete projects efficiently
  • Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand design preferences and project requirements
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following health and safety regulations at all times
  • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines without compromising quality
  • Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure flawless finishes and address any touch-ups needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or related fields
  • Valid driving license to travel between multiple job sites as required
  • Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and clients
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and safety instructions accurately
  • Excellent manual dexterity with an eye for detail and precision in finishing work
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to working at heights and handling paints or chemicals
  • Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with various painting techniques, wallpaper installation, and experience working on diverse property types
