Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator with a valid blue CSCS card to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high standards of quality and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for aesthetics. Applicants should possess strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
  • Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
  • Interpreting technical drawings, specifications, or instructions to achieve desired results
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout projects
  • Communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or issues
  • Assisting in colour selection and providing advice on decorating options when required

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction painting or decorating roles is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and decorating techniques
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards relevant to the trade
  • Good command of English language for effective communication on-site
  • Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between multiple locations
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively
