Experienced Painter & Decorator - Lancashire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Painters & Decorators to join us, as we continue to grow and expand our current area of work across Lancashire , covering, Clitheroe, Ribble Valley, Preston and Blackburn.

Business Overview

Established in 1899 George Jones & Son (Contractors) Limited and is family owned company who is proud to be celebrating 125 years of trading. We have always specialised in commercial painting and decorating, it’s what we’re known for. We have diversified and now offer several trades surrounding building maintenance and pre-paint repairs. Our specialism, however, is the cyclical pre-paint repair, redecoration and maintenance of social housing, having completed over 150,000 in the last 20 years alone.

We employ 150 tradesmen, who are currently covering in excess of 20 contracts across the country and we are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Northwest team to cover the work across Lancashire at this exciting time. We work in a wide variety of market sectors including Local Authorities, Housing Associations (Social Housing), Health Authorities, Residential Homes, Schools, Universities and Colleges, also Government Departments, Specialist Projects for the Crown Estate and Facilities Management.

We provide painting, decorating and various planned maintenance services including pre-decorative repairs, upvc/prc window and door replacement, fencing / gate repairs and replacement, repairs to guttering, fascia and soffits, brickwork repairs and patch rendering. We pride ourselves on constantly growing and evolving to stay ahead of our competitors, and it is in fact our diverse and enthusiastic team who provide this drive and ambition.

Responsibilities: -

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team, as we are currently recruiting experienced, time served painters & decorators, who produce a quality job, to complete work on void properties and internal and external work, across Lancashire and the north west on a sub contract.

Duties : -

To prepare all surfaces for painting

To apply various coatings to various surfaces as required

To work safely on site at all times

To have excellent manners with client/customer

This work is price work and £650.00 to £800.00 a week is achievable.

Hours 39 - Monday 8.00 4.30pm to Thursday and 8.00 to 3.30pm Friday.
