Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in various painting techniques and proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as the ability to fabricate and assemble components as needed. However no prior experience is required as training will be provided. The Painter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes on various surfaces while adhering to safety standards and maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
  • Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using spray equipment only
  • Mix powder paints and other materials according to specifications.
  • Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Fabricate and assemble components as required for specific projects.
  • Maintain an organised workspace and ensure all tools are stored properly after use.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain productivity levels.

Requirements

  • Experience in painting or a related field is preferred but not required as training is provided.
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to assemble components is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a warehouse environment.
  • A valid driver's licence may be required for transportation of materials or equipment.
