Post Title: Powder Painter

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Powder Painter to work on rotational Dayshift & Backshift

Dayshift

7:00am – 3.15pm Monday to Friday

Rate £13.00/HR

Overtime £18.15/HR

Backshift

3.00pm – 1.15am Monday to Thursday

Rate £16.14/HR

Overtime £18.15/HR

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Selection of correct paint for job.
  • Selection of correct oven temperatures and track speeds.
  • Setting up equipment.
  • Control of pre-treatment to clean and treat parts.
  • Ensuring correct preparation of parts before painting and how they are placed on line.
  • Understanding powder paint properties.
  • Understanding coating defects, their causes and how to rectify.
  • Carrying out quality checks on coating finish, including DFT & Gloss readings.
  • Carrying out stock checks of paints and recording on system.
  • Recording details of painted parts and results of quality checks.
  • Maintaining equipment, ensuring all equipment is cleaned after use.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested commensurate with your skills, knowledge and ability in the interests of the Company.

About you

  • Skilled powder painter with ITW Gema system experience required.
  • Good knowledge of powder paint process.
  • Reliable with good time keeping and attendance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.00-£18.15 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Prestwick: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
