JOB DESCRIPTION – FULL TIME (HOURS TO BE DISCUSSED)
FIXED TERM - UNTIL END OF June 2025 PAYE - Sorry no self employed
1. JOB TITLE Painter & Decorator Responsible to: Chief Engineer
2. RESPONSIBLE FOR: General good condition and first impression of the estate
3. MAIN PURPOSE: As the site Painter & Decorator you will join the Facilities team carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in maintaining the standards at Stoke Park sites, mainly the Mansion House and Pavilion. You will also be required to support with general decorations across the S.P sites. You will be committed to working to a high standard with a desire to continue to maintain professional accreditations and carry out further training as required. A team player is a must.
4. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES : efficiently maintain building standards . A good understanding of general decorating services such as Preparation - Filling -Painting, with a willingness to 'muck-in' and support the maintenance team.
5. HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES: Keep informed and involve others. Lead by example being diligent and observant. Ensure safety & risk are considered within all projects. Take an active leading role in safety & risk management.
6. QUALIFICATIONS: Proven experience in supporting general and electrical maintenance across several sites. Ideal experience would involve working on legacy systems and in historic buildings. Essentials: City & Guilds / NVQ Qualification . IOSH
7. PERSON SPECIFICATION Resourceful, driven, with a 'can-do' attitude. Highly motivated and works on own initiative. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and variations to workload. A commitment to quality and safety. Professional integrity. Good inter-personal skills with the ability to work closely and effectively with staff at all levels.
