Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable Painters to join our team. This role involves applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces within construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality building projects while developing your skills in the painting trade.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting
  • Apply paint, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety
  • Protect surrounding areas by covering floors, furniture, and fixtures during painting tasks
  • Mix paints and colours to achieve desired shades as specified by project requirements
  • Maintain a clean work environment by tidying tools and disposing of waste appropriately
  • Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to meet deadlines and specifications

Skills

  • Proven experience in construction painting or related trades is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills in English for effective teamwork and client interactions
  • Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation between sites
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations within construction environments
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
  • Attention to detail with a focus on achieving a smooth, professional finish
