Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Panel Beater to join our team. As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicle panels to their original condition. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities:

Assessing vehicle damage and determining the appropriate repair methods. Removing damaged panels and parts. Straightening and aligning vehicle frames and panels. Repairing or replacing damaged panels using welding techniques. Preparing surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and masking. Mixing and applying paint to achieve an accurate colour match. Assembling and fitting repaired panels back onto vehicles. Conducting quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards. Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Experience:

Proven experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role. Proficient in welding techniques and working with power tools. Familiarity with reading schematics and technical drawings. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle structures and systems. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary. Experience in equipment repair is a plus. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients

Skills:

Ability to weld and use power tools effectively. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle structures and systems. Ability to assemble and fit repaired panels onto vehicles. Capable of performing heavy lifting when required. Experience in equipment repair is an advantage.
