Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £14.80 per hour, £30,784.00 per annum

Hours of work will normally be 07:00 – 16:00 or 08:00 – 17:00, Monday-Friday, complete flexibility is required as start and finish times will be based on the needs of the department. There may be the need for occasional weekend shifts.

A Driving License and valid Counterbalance forklift licence would be beneficial but not essential.

This role will relocate a short 5 minute drive away, once our new spray booths are setup at our new production centre. (AL4 0JJ)

The role:

Working as part of our Carpentry Team based at our St Albans joinery workshop. Using professional spraying equipment to spray products to a high standard and within the agreed lead-times for our customers. Overseeing and maintaining the warehouse facilities, ensuring all the stock is kept safe, tidy & organised and deliveries are booked in.

Main Duties

• Spraying doors and frames for customers in a variety of different finishes using professional spraying equipment – full training provided
• Understanding the different types of finishes, paints and stains available
• Spraying products for exhibitions, for use in our showrooms and for offsite projects
• Maintenance and upkeep of the spraying and drying facilities ensuring health and safety standards are met.
• Preparation work including unwrapping, checking, cleaning, filling and sanding of doors and frames, before, during and after spraying has occurred
• Assisting with checking the quality of all incoming doors.
• Assisting with the warehouse operation – lifting heavy doors, storage of doors. Keeping the warehouse tidy and ensuring health and safety measures are adhered to.
• Planning workload in order of commitments made to customers
• Ensuring stock is stored in correct locations for stock checks.
• Assisting with stocktaking

• Ensure all promises made to customers are realistic, achievable and are completed
• Ensure that all Company systems and procedures are followed at all times
• Keep a tidy, safe working environment following all Health and Safety procedures
• Supplied company uniform to be worn at all times and kept neat, clean and presentable
• Assist with the training and development of all new recruits
• Report any Health and Safety issues to your Line Manager
• Take on reasonable duties to ensure the smooth running of the company.

Pay: £30,784.00 per year
