Full job description

Void Worker: East Sussex & Croydon

High Standard Construction is looking for a skilled, multi-trade Void Worker to join the team, covering sites across East Sussex and Croydon. You'll be turning empty properties around: making good and getting them fit to let again. It's varied, hands-on work, and no two days look the same.

What you'll be doing

  • General carpentry, repairing or replacing doors, frames, skirting, and fixtures
  • Basic plumbing tasks, fixing or replacing pipework, taps
  • Patch plastering, making good, and preparing surfaces for painting
  • Painting and decorating to a good standard
  • Minor repairs to brickwork, flooring, and the general fabric of the building
  • Flagging any works outside your scope to the site supervisor

What we're looking for

  • Solid all-round trade experience: carpentry, plumbing, decorating, or general maintenance
  • Confident and safe with hand and power tools
  • A good eye for detail and a "get it done properly" attitude
  • Physically fit, able to lift and carry materials and work in different positions
  • A full driving licence, with the potential for a work van to be provided, to cover both East Sussex and Croydon sites
  • Good communication and reliable time keeping
