About us

Savannah Cars is a well-established family run, Used Vehicle Sales Specialist based in the Southend area of Essex. Trading for over a decade in the area with a heavy online presence, we pride ourselves on an exceptional experience for all our customers.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bodyshop Technician/Painter to enhance our growing team, with a focus on exemplary vehicle cosmetic preparation. The position is offered on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday) with alternating weekend working.

Responsibilities

Full vehicle inspection reporting any defects or damage noted on vehicle prior to starting work.

Strip & refit where necessary including adjustment and panel alignment.

Removal and safe storage of vehicle components, fluids and gases as directed by work order.

Removal and safe disposal of vehicle components and fluids as directed by work order.

Preparing and masking vehicles for paint.

Painting of prepared vehicles.

Ensure that vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customers, or that faults have been reported and noted on the job card.

Quality control of all repairs, with final stage sign off.

Report all faults, defects noticed whilst working on vehicles not apparent before dismantling.

Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest quality standards.

Keeping work areas and tools tidy and in good working order.

Skills and experience required

Hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 Vehicle Accident Repair and Paint qualification or similar.

Work as part of a team and on own initiative.

Competent in use of paint mixing equipment.

Computer literate.

Hold a current and clean Full UK driving licence.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
