Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: RAF Lakenheath, Brandon, Suffolk, IP27 9PP
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7:30AM-4:30PM)
Salary: £32,000 per year

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Painter/Decorator to join an existing operational team of 15 at RAF Lakenheath.

You will primarily painting and decorating the military family housing based on RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk, in a pair of painter/decorators. You will be scheduled your properties over a PDA, where you will then undertake the beginning to end process of painting the property to a high quality and within the timescales provided, until snagged by a Change of Occupancy Manager.

There will be some occasions where you will be doing paint touch ups, where you will be interacting with the military families, therefore you will need some experience in a customer facing role.

Your work tasks will include: attending inspections to pick up snags, cleaning up supplies, preparing painting surfaces by washing walls and repairing holes, stripping old paint, and undertaking decorative and faux finishes if they project requires.

What you’ll need to do this role

It is essential you have experience in painting to a high standard within tight timescales. As you will be occasionally interacting with the military families, you will need good communication skills. As you will be provided with a work van, you will need a full, clean UK’s driver’s license.

It is desirable that you have experience of operating within an MOD environment and have familiarity with geography and establishments within area of responsibility

You must be able to pass BPSS Clearance to be considered for this role.
