Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a flawless finish on various projects. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople and must be able to follow instructions and specifications accurately.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.
  • Mix and match paint colours to achieve desired shades and finishes.
  • Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to ensure even coverage.
  • Inspect completed work for quality and make touch-ups as necessary.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring they are cleaned after use.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specification.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to operate hand tools and power tools effectively.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the preparation and painting process.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • A valid driver’s licence may be advantageous for travel between job sites.
