John Codona’s Pleasure Fairs is located at the heart of Aberdeen’s beach front, compromising of 3 restaurants, 2 bars, outdoor amusement park, 2 adventure golf courses, a 22 lane ten-pin bowling alley, one of Scotland’s largest arcades and our innovative children’s soft play facility.

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a painter to carry out painting, decorating and surface preparation work across JCPF's rides, attractions, buildings, and facilities, maintaining a high standard of appearance, safety, and weather protection throughout the site.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with specifications. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding project progress and any issues that arise. Always adhere to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in painting and decorating, ideally in a commercial, industrial or facilities maintenance setting. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driving licence is required for travel between job sites. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. All tools and paint provided.

40–45 hours per week, permanent, full-time.

Based at JCPF, Aberdeen Beachfront, with work required across all company sites. A mix of outdoor and indoor work, including exposure to weather, working at height, and seasonal demands. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and must be worn as required. Ideal candidate can work 1 weekend day each week during seasonal periods.

Pay: From £17.00 per hour
