Full job description

The role of Painter's Labourer will be based at our ACE Winches facility in Turriff, with impressive state-of-the-art facilities all powered by wind.


ACE Winches is now part of Ashtead Technology. Together we continue to strengthen our product and service offerings for oil & gas and offshore renewables.


What you'll be doing:

As a Labourer, you will support Painters and other team members in completing painting projects efficiently and safely. You will assist with preparing surfaces, handling materials, maintaining tools and equipment and will ensure work areas remain clean and organised.


Some other responsibilities include;

  • Maintaining high housekeeping standards of workshop, mixing room, and paint store
  • Preparing equipment pre-painting including needle gunning, sanding, removing decals, guards etc
  • Applying masking tape, plastic sheeting, or other protective coverings to surfaces not being painted
  • Mixing paints, primers, and sealants according to instructions
  • Transporting materials, tools, and equipment to and from job workshops
  • Assisting in the setup and removal of scaffolding, ladders, platforms and other equipment for safely working at height
  • Cleaning brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other tools after use

What experience you'll bring:

This is a hands on role where you'll be on your foot the majority of the day and will requires attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.


Some other things that will help you succeed in this role;

  • Previous labouring experience
  • Experience of working in a mechanical environment
  • A full, clean, driving licence
  • Forklift certificate, LGV licence & CPC certificate are beneficial
