Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming spaces through high-quality painting and decorating work. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision. The Painter & Decorator will be responsible for executing projects from start to finish while ensuring a clean and safe working environment. A van and fuel card will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
  • Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Select and mix colours according to client specifications and project requirements.
  • Install wallpaper, decorative wall coverings, and other materials as needed.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any issues promptly.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard within agreed timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in painting and decorating is essential.
  • Ability to drive is preferred for transportation to various job sites.
  • Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and team members.
  • Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • DBS will be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £17.30 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 42.5 per week

Additional pay:

  • Yearly bonus
