An Excellent Opportunity for an Experienced Painter & Decorator

AllPro Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced Painter & Decorator to join a well-established contractor working across private residential properties between Cannock and Birmingham, including surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for a permanent position, consistent working hours and a company van with fuel card provided.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of internal and external painting, decorating, property maintenance and refurbishment projects, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

The Role

Working across a range of private property contracts, you'll be completing painting, decorating and finishing work within residential properties.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Internal and external painting and decorating
  • Preparing walls, ceilings, woodwork and other surfaces
  • Filling, sanding and preparing surfaces prior to painting
  • Applying emulsion, gloss, satin and other finishes
  • Painting doors, skirting boards, architraves and window frames
  • Wallpaper stripping, preparation and hanging
  • Minor plaster patching and making good
  • Repairing cracks, holes and damaged surfaces
  • Applying sealants and finishing materials
  • Decorating kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and communal areas
  • Carrying out touch-ups and remedial decorating work
  • Completing full room and property redecorations
  • Protecting furniture, flooring and fixtures during work
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Maintaining a professional approach when working in customers' homes

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a reliable, experienced and skilled Painter & Decorator who takes pride in delivering high-quality finishes and can confidently complete decorating projects independently.

Essential requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator
  • Strong experience in internal and external painting and decorating
  • Excellent surface preparation and finishing skills
  • Confident working with a variety of paints, materials and finishes
  • Experience with minor filling, patching and making good
  • Previous experience working on private residential properties or refurbishment projects
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Reliable, punctual and professional attitude

Salary & Benefits

£140 per day
