Berry Bros. & Rudd is more than 300 years old, but we never stand still. As the world’s best and most trusted fine wine and spirits merchant, we are committed to helping our customers drink better, now and in the future. A career at Berry Bros. & Rudd is a unique and rewarding experience, combining the rich background of centuries of history with a modern family-owned culture, built on ambitious plans and with people at its heart.

The job in a nutshell

With a Royal Warrant and over three hundred years of history, we are Britain's original wine and spirit merchant. With services including a Cellar Plan, award-winning shops, and tutored tastings and events, we provide the closest link between those who make the wine and those who drink it.

The Cellar operation at No.3 St James’s, the historical heart of the company, plays a critical role in supporting and enabling the success of the Shop and the Events teams in particular, in addition to other areas of the business, in delivering a first-class experience for our customers.

Working flexibly (40 hours per week, worked from Monday to Saturday, 8am-7pm on a rota basis) and at times independently, within a small team this is a varied role covering the receipt/delivery and managing of stock (wines, spirits, accessories etc.) that covers all requirements of cellar logistics work as determined by the business.

  • Pick and pack orders for customer collection and courier deliveries
  • Record and control customer collections
  • Take collection orders to the shop when requested
  • Assist in stock preparation prior to events and the retrieval and processing of stock returns from events, as directed, using appropriate systems
  • Recycle waste generated by the cellars and London-based teams in line with our sustainability ethos
  • Other activities within the remit of cellar support, as directed by the Cellar Team Leader
