Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and talented Pan-Asian Chef to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The successful candidate will have strong professional experience across a range of Asian cuisines, including Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino and Malaysian cuisine. We are looking for someone with excellent cooking skills who can prepare authentic, high-quality dishes consistently and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook authentic Pan-Asian dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino and Malaysian cuisine.
  • Maintain consistent food quality, taste, presentation and portion control.
  • Prepare ingredients and organise the kitchen efficiently.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
  • Manage stock and help minimise food waste.
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
  • Work effectively with other kitchen staff.
  • Assist with menu development and new dish ideas where required.
  • Ensure dishes are prepared and served within the required time.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience as a Pan-Asian Chef or similar role.
  • Strong practical knowledge of multiple Asian cuisines.
  • Experience with Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino and/or Malaysian cooking.
  • Ability to prepare dishes from scratch and work with a wide range of Asian ingredients and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy professional kitchen.
  • Good attention to detail and consistency.
  • Reliable, professional and hardworking attitude.
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.

Salary

£3,000 gross per month (approximately £36,000 gross per year).

The advertised salary is the gross salary. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own personal tax and any other applicable deductions or statutory obligations.

Chef Trial

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a practical chef trial. The trial will allow us to assess cooking ability, knowledge of Pan-Asian cuisine, food preparation, presentation and suitability for the role.

A final decision regarding employment will be made following the trial.
