Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our café. This position offers an engaging environment for individuals passionate about food and beverages, with opportunities to develop skills in food safety, barista techniques, and customer service.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks.
  • Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
  • Restock supplies such as cups, utensils, and ingredients as needed throughout shifts.
  • Follow food safety standards diligently to ensure hygiene and quality are upheld at all times.
  • Support food preparation tasks where necessary, including assembling sandwiches or snacks.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery.

Skills

  • Barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
