Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation
  • Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide friendly, efficient service to enhance their experience
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
  • Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times
  • Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards

Requirements

  • Previous barista experience or familiarity with coffee preparation is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of food safety procedures to uphold hygiene standards in a food service environment
  • Ability to serve customers confidently with excellent communication skills
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to beverage making and food handling
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and enthusiasm for creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers
