About Us:

The Stone Range Café is a welcoming, community-focused café known for its warm atmosphere and high-quality products. We are passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences, and we are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Head Barista to join our team and lead the coffee program.

Job Description:

As a Barista, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the coffee station, ensuring high standards of beverage preparation, customer service. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong knowledge of coffee, an eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Other responsibilities will be a mixture of front of house and helping out with some food preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based drinks, pour-over coffees, and other beverages to a high standard.

- Monitor and maintain the quality and consistency of coffee and other beverages.

- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and maintain inventory for the drinks station.

- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the drinks section, including equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

- Provide exceptional customer service and foster a welcoming environment for both customers and team members.

- Collaborate with management on menu development, including seasonal drinks and specials.

- Uphold all health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

- Be a team player and help wherever is needed

Qualifications:

- Experience as a barista

- Extensive knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso machines, grinders, and milk texturing techniques.

- Strong attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a busy environment.

- Basic understanding of stock management and ordering processes.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
