Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House person to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service, assisting with food and beverage preparation, and ensuring the smooth operation of the café. This position offers an engaging environment where hospitality skills and a passion for food service are highly valued. Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is essential, particularly barista experience and knowledge of food safety standards. The successful applicant will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders with professionalism and courtesy
  • Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including coffee, teas, snacks, and light meals
  • Assist with food preparation tasks in accordance with health and safety guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen surfaces
  • Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing enquiries and resolving any issues promptly
  • Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is desirable
  • Barista experience is a plus but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is preferred
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
  • Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required
  • Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if necessary
