Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant environment is preferred, along with a passion for food and beverage service. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant and welcoming setting.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
  • Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen and bar staff
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on tables regularly and addressing any concerns promptly
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
  • Handle payments accurately using the POS system, including processing cash and card transactions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including setting tables before service and clearing after
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure smooth service flow during shifts

Skills

  • Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling
  • Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing and transactions
  • Strong guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple tables efficiently
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of food preparation processes; culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous
  • Excellent time management to ensure timely service delivery
  • Upselling skills to promote menu items effectively and enhance guest satisfaction
  • A proactive attitude with a team-oriented approach to deliver outstanding customer experiences
