Role: Hospitality Assistant

Job Type: Temporary – start date 14th September

Assignment Length: Until October - May be extended

Salary: £13.45 per hour

Location: Southampton

Hours: Must be fully flexible to complete shifts between 7am – 5pm – Monday to Friday.

  • Shifts vary in hours. (Example for rotas next week: Monday 10am - 3pm, Tuesday 10am - 3pm, Wednesday - 10am - 3pm, Thursday 11am - 3pm, Friday off)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hospitality Assistant to join our client in Southampton and provide support during a busy period.

The role is based in a busy café environment within an office business park.

As a Hospitality Assistant, you will play a key role in providing excellent service to customers and onsite employees. Your responsibilities will include handling food and deliveries, responding to customer queries, serving customers in the corporate café, and assisting with the set-up of events across the hospitality and conference areas.

Duties and Responsibilities of Hospitality Assistant:

  • Assist in food preparation
  • Serving customers at the till point
  • Meeting and greeting all colleagues, and visitors
  • Assisting with the set-up of events in the hospitality area
  • Adhering to all hygiene and food preparation regulatory requirements and ensuring appropriate practices are followed
  • Handling transactions with ease and operating the cash register efficiently

About You:

  • Show genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Previous Customer Service experience
  • Previous hospitality experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Food hygiene level 1/2 - desirable
