We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and committed nurse to join the Imperial Clinical Respiratory Research Unit (ICRRU), supporting a diverse and expanding portfolio of clinical research studies.
This post offers an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to further develop their nursing career within the dynamic field of respiratory research. In return, we offer ongoing professional development and the opportunity to gain valuable experience within one of the UK’s leading Academic Health Science Centres.
The successful applicant will work within a specialist team delivering research across a broad range of respiratory conditions, including Asthma, COPD, tuberculosis, interstitial lung disease and pleural disease. The portfolio includes both commercial and academic studies, encompassing observational and complex interventional trials.
You will work closely with a supportive and experienced team of Principal Investigators and multidisciplinary clinical teams, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care within a research setting. We are a welcoming, collaborative and forward-thinking team committed to excellence in research and patient care.
To facilitate efficient, safe and participant-focused research.
To contribute to the management of the local portfolio of clinical research studies.
Advises staff and researchers, acting as a knowledgeable resource on matters relating to clinical practice and research, promoting an active and effective research culture.
To co-ordinate the care of your own caseload of clinical research study participants.
To contribute to the development of research protocols.
To assist in the process of gaining local regulatory committee approval (ethics and R&D approval).
Continue your own professional development keeping updated with current practice.
To assist in the education and support of health care professionals to enable them to care for clinical research study patients/participants.
Coordinate own portfolio of clinical studies.
