We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator to support an exciting research project, recruiting participants, obtaining consent, delivering tailored psychosocial support, and acturately collecting confidential data and toxicology samples. This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, with full training provided.

Hours: Part Time, 22.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours
About the role:
- Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
- Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral
- Managing a caseload
- Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
- Develop effective working relationships with equivalent postholders and multidisciplinary research teams across participating trial sites to promote collaboration and consistency.
- Liaise professionally with study sponsors, trial management organisations, and other external stakeholders to support successful trial delivery and governance.
- Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination
- Deliver structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recovery
- Tailor specific workshops around the needs of the service users, such as: anger management, sleep disorders, relationships, etc
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of research protocols, clinical interventions, and study procedures, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with the approved protocol and study design.
- Identify and engage potential participants who may be suitable for inclusion in the trial.
About you:
- Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
- Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour.
- Accomplished written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of personal IT competency. The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information, e.g. reports.
- Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
- Strong team collaboration skills; able to work independently and exercise initiative
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- Previous experience of working with relevant patient groups
