Full job description

Part-Time Primary Teacher

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys creating engaging lessons and helping children develop both academically and personally. We welcome applications from teachers with experience across the primary age range, particularly those who have supported pupils with SEND, including autism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom where every child feels supported and encouraged to succeed.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND.
  • Monitor pupils' progress and use assessments to inform future planning.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Support children's social, emotional and academic development.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
  • A good understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism, is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • A positive, flexible approach and a genuine passion for helping children reach their potential.
