Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Bar and Food Preparation Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic environment, delivering exceptional service to our guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with food and beverage preparation, serving customers, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This paid position is ideal for individuals passionate about the food and beverage industry and eager to grow their career within a quality establishment.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages in accordance with company standards and health & safety regulations
  • Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as per recipes or customer requests, including bartending duties
  • Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
  • Assist with setting up dining areas, including table arrangements and cleanliness checks
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, bar area, and dining spaces throughout shifts
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards at all times
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods
  • Engage positively with guests to enhance their overall experience

Skills

  • Proven experience or keen interest in hospitality, food safety, bartending, or serving roles
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and guests
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices preferred but not essential; training will be provided
  • Friendly, approachable manner with a professional attitude towards customer service
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying shift patterns including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
