Health Care Assistant – Part-Time Domiciliary Care

Health Care Assistant – Part-Time Domiciliary Care CoS Applicants Requiring Additional Hours & Applicants with Existing Right to Work Welcome

We are seeking compassionate, reliable and professional Health Care Assistants to join our growing domiciliary care team.

We welcome applications from candidates who already hold a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) and are seeking additional 20hrs per week, as well as candidates who have an existing right to work in the UK and are looking for flexible or part-time employment.

If you are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care and supporting people to live safely and independently in their own homes, we would like to hear from you.

The Role

As a Health Care Assistant, you may support individuals with:

  • Personal care and daily living activities.
  • Mobility and maintaining independence.
  • Medication support, where appropriately trained and authorised.
  • Meal preparation and shopping.
  • Appointments and community activities.
  • Companionship and emotional support.
  • Respite and occasional overnight care.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A satisfactory DBS check or willingness to complete the required DBS process.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
  • Access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • A valid Practical Manual Handling Certificate.
  • A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate.
  • A Care Certificate or equivalent relevant care training.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • The appropriate right to work in the UK for the role and hours applied for.
  • A caring, professional and reliable approach to work.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

  • Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisation and time-management skills.
  • A commitment to maintaining professional standards and developing their skills.
  • At least 6 months' experience in domiciliary care, home care or a similar care setting is preferred.
