Full job description

We are hiring!
This role is based in Clink 261 near King's Cross in London. You're the first person our guests meet when they walk through our doors. You set the tone, create the vibe, and make sure people feel welcome the second they walk in. You're not just on top of check-in - you're the reason someone leaves their room, joins the pub crawl, or ends up with three new travel buddies to explore the city.

This isn't a role where you stand behind a desk waiting for things to happen. You're actively creating connections, curating energy, problem-solving with empathy when things go sideways, and collaborating with teams across the bar, kitchen, and housekeeping. Your job is making sure travelers leave wanting to tell their friends about it and book their next stay.

What you’ll actually be doing:

● Customer service is key and your role will revolve around greeting travelers with a warm, friendly and authentic attitude.

● Supporting check-in, offering upgrades like breakfast or late checkout and genuinely creating a connection with the guest.

● Help us to curate the vibe of the hostel by creating a relaxed, friendly and social atmosphere where guests feel encouraged and supported to connect with fellow travelers.

● Upselling in a way that that feels natural and helpful - spotting opportunities for late checkouts, bar visits, F&B, or promoting our in-house events.

● Handling complaints and issues with genuine empathy - making sure travelers feel heard and supported

● Supporting our events, having real conversations, helping travellers feel part of something bigger

● Share local knowledge: Offer local tips, recommendations on restaurants, culture, nightlife and hidden gems in the city, even helping to book experiences or events.

● Helping guests have the kind of stay they'll leave a 5-star review about!

You are:

● A confident, sociable communicator who gains energy in busy environments

● Passionate about travel, local culture, and connecting people (experience in hospitality, tourism, or events helps but isn't essential)

● Genuinely interested in making travelers’ stays memorable

● A quick learner who's comfortable with new tech and systems while balancing guest interaction with admin tasks

● Someone who actually loves the city and wants to share it with travelers

● Ready to get involved - attend social events, share ideas, be part of the crew

● Up for learning and growing through training and internal opportunities

● Excited to work with a diverse team that celebrates individuality and different perspectives

Reality check
This is hospitality, and we're open 24/7. Your shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends.

Why you’ll love working at Clink

Clink is not your average hostel, and this isn't your average hospitality job. Our spaces have history. Our events have personality. And the people who work here? They're the same people who'd want to stay here.

You'll join a team who genuinely invested in what happens here and who shows up. We celebrate individuality, support your growth, and give you a proper voice in how things work. Expect social events worth showing up to, and benefits that matter.
