Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the Head Chef in food preparation and production, ensuring that high standards of quality and safety are maintained. This role requires a blend of culinary skills, kitchen experience, and the ability to lead and manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards.
  • Must be able to cook Pakistani authentic dishes to a very high standards.
  • Providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as necessary.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operated safely.
  • Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards.
  • Uphold high standards of hospitality while serving dishes to customers or guests.

Skills

  • Proven experience in a South Asian / Pakistani / Indian kitchen or restaurant environment.
  • Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to motivate others.
  • Proficient cooking skills with a solid understanding of culinary practices.
  • Prefer kitchen experience within a hospitality setting, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is required; a food & hygiene training course will be arranged for a successful candidate. .
  • Previous restaurant experience is advantageous for this role.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
