Bookkeeper – Flexible Hybrid Role

Looking for a bookkeeping role with genuine flexibility, a friendly team and some great perks?

Henny & Joe’s is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with strong Xero experience to join our growing independent business in Brislington, Bristol.

This is a flexible, part-time hybrid role, giving you the option to split your time between our office and working from home. We care more about finding the right person than sticking to a rigid working pattern, so we’re happy to discuss hours that work for both of us.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping and help us keep the financial side of the business organised, accurate and running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing bookkeeping through Xero
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing supplier invoices and payments
  • Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers
  • Managing expenses
  • Credit control
  • Keeping financial records accurate and up to date
  • General finance and accounts administration
  • Helping management maintain a clear picture of the company’s finances

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be someone who is confident working independently, enjoys keeping things organised and takes pride in getting the details right.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous bookkeeping experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills
  • A reliable and trustworthy approach
  • Confidence managing your own workload
  • Good communication skills
  • A friendly personality and a willingness to be part of the team
