Job Description:

The Anchorage Care Home in Pulborough is looking for a good all rounder that can support residents living in the home with duties ranging from working in the Kitchen to Housekeeping/Laundry along with a little bit of Care with residents.

The working hours are 08:00am to 19:00 but the amount of days per week will be flexible. There maybe weekend working but again very flexible.

Uniform, Full training and shadow shifts will be provided. Duties will include but not confined to:

  • Assist in supper preparation as and when required
  • Assist care staff with the collection of or collect supper trays from rooms.
  • Wash/wipe/dry place mats, coasters, serviette rings etc.
  • Clear dining room tablecloths and napkins and put in sluice for washing
  • Wash/wipe/dry dining room table(s)
  • Clean all trays using sanitizer spray and re-stack
  • Attend to washing up and putting away
  • Carry out the tasks on the cleaning plan to ensure dishwasher, bins, fridges, freezers, store cupboards, ovens and kitchen equipment are cleaned and maintained regularly
  • Sweep dining room floor
  • Take all dirty tea towels, tray cloths and dishcloths from kitchen and put them into soak in the sluice sink.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floor.
  • Prepare trolley for the service of evening drinks/snacks in advance of night shift e.g. cups, saucers, spoons, milk jugs, biscuits etc.
  • Where/when time permits, check with the senior member of duty staff for any particular jobs that may need doing e.g. refilling salt and pepper pots, cleaning dining room shelving etc.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
