Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Biology Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic research team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to scientific research and quality control initiatives within a vibrant laboratory setting. As a key member of our team, you will support laboratory operations, assist with experiments, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Your energetic approach and strong analysis skills will help drive innovative discoveries and maintain the highest standards of laboratory excellence.

Duties

  • Assist in preparing, organizing, and maintaining laboratory samples, reagents, and equipment for various biological experiments.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of experimental data.
  • Support scientific research projects by executing experimental protocols under supervision and documenting results meticulously.
  • Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to record, track, and manage laboratory data efficiently.
  • Perform analysis of experimental results using appropriate mathematical and statistical methods to interpret findings accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and safety protocols during all laboratory activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment by following proper procedures and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Prior laboratory experience in biological sciences or related fields is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret scientific data accurately.
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or similar data management tools is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations relevant to laboratory practices and product testing.
  • Excellent math skills for data analysis, calculations, and measurement accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain meticulous records.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and document findings clearly.
