Job Overview

O4 Research Ltd is recruiting a part-time (2 days a week) experienced Clinical Research Practitioner to support clinical research delivery at a GP practice in Bradford-on-Avon

This is a hands-on, participant-facing role combining clinical procedures, study visit coordination and data management. You will work closely with the practice’s Principal Investigator and clinical team, with support from O4’s OnSite team.

The Role

• You will coordinate and deliver study visits, independently undertaking delegated procedures within your training and demonstrated competence. Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting participant identification, screening, recruitment and retention.
• Scheduling and preparing study visits within protocol-required timelines.
• Undertaking venepuncture, blood sample processing, clinical observations and other study assessments.
• Supporting the informed consent process and obtaining consent where appropriately trained and authorised.
• Collecting, processing, storing and arranging shipment of biological samples.
• Providing clear information and ongoing support to participants.
• Recognising and promptly escalating safety concerns to the investigator.
• Maintaining accurate study records, entering data and resolving queries.
• Maintaining study documentation and supplies and supporting monitoring visits.

About You

Essential requirements

• Previous experience delivering participant-facing clinical research visits
• Competence in venepuncture and blood sample processing
• Experience undertaking and documenting routine clinical assessments
• Ability to manage delegated study activities with minimal day-to-day supervision, following study-specific training
• Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and participant confidentiality
• Experience with study documentation and records, electronic data entry and query resolution
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and communication skills
• A relevant healthcare, life sciences or research qualification, or equivalent relevant training and experience

Desirable

• At least two years’ relevant clinical research delivery experience
• Experience in a GP practice or primary care setting
• Familiarity with EMIS or SystmOne
• Relevant endocrinology therapeutic area experience
• Registration on the AHCS Accredited Register for Clinical Research Practitioners

NOTE: Expected contract length is 12 months with the potential for extension.

Pay: £37,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
