About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Practice Administrator to support the smooth running of our busy veterinary practice. Working closely with the Practice Manager, you will provide administrative support across a range of operational areas, helping to ensure the practice remains efficient, compliant, and well-maintained.

This is a part-time position of 16 hours per week, with flexibility on how the hours are worked to suit both the successful candidate and the needs of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the Practice Manager and wider team
  • Supporting the practice's health and safety processes, including maintaining records and ensuring compliance requirements are met
  • Assisting with marketing activities, including website updates, social media content, and promotional materials.
  • Managing and maintaining administrative records, documents, and filing systems
  • Assisting with the coordination of building maintenance and repairs
  • Liaising with external suppliers and contractors
  • Undertaking a variety of ad hoc administrative duties as required.

About You

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, reliable, and able to manage a varied workload independently.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with customer service
  • Good attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • A professional and positive approach to work
  • Previous experience in an office administration or office management role
  • A passion for animal welfare

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience supporting health and safety processes
  • Experience with marketing or social media administration
