We are currently recruiting for an experienced GP Receptionist or Clinical Coder with Care Navigation experience to support a busy GP surgery based in Accrington. This is a flexible opportunity, ideal for candidates seeking part-time or full-time hours depending on availability.

We are looking for Clinical Coders or GP Receptionists, if you have experience in both – even better!

Key Responsibilities for Clinical Coding:

  • Clinical coding of patient records using EMIS
  • Ensuring accuracy and consistency of coded data
  • Supporting the practice with backlog clearance where required
  • Working collaboratively with the wider admin and clinical team

Key Responsibilities for Medical Receptionist:

  • Experience working as a Medical Receptionist in a GP Surgery
  • Confident using EMIS
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast‑paced environment

Requirements

  • Previous Clinical Coding / GP Receptionist experience within a GP surgery
  • Strong working knowledge of EMIS Web
  • Experience in a primary care setting is essential
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
