Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and professional Medical Secretary to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to medical practitioners, ensuring smooth clinic operations and excellent patient service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where organisational skills and attention to detail are paramount. The Medical Secretary will be responsible for managing appointments, maintaining patient records, and facilitating effective communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and maintaining accurate patient records
- Handling correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and postal communications, with excellent customer service skills
- Ensuring compliance with confidentiality protocols and data protection regulations
- Responding promptly to patient inquiries via phone or email, demonstrating strong communication skills
- Proven administrative experience, preferably within a healthcare setting
- Proficiency inStystmOne, ERs and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- IT literacy with the capability to adapt to new software systems quickly
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a professional demeanour
