Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional shift manager to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service in a lively restaurant and bar environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry and be part of a welcoming team.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and take their orders with attentiveness and professionalism
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
  • Provide excellent guest service by addressing customer needs and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including tables, bar, and workstations
  • Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as required, adhering to food safety standards
  • Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring guests receive suitable recommendations
  • Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods, demonstrating strong time management skills
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety procedures and hygiene standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or bar work is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
  • Strong guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role
