Company Overview

We are opening a new Asian Fusion restaurant in Leicester, blending traditional Japanese sushi with bold, modern Asian flavours. Our aim is to bring people together through beautifully crafted dishes, fresh ingredients, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Summary

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a new restaurant from the start and help shape our sushi offering.

You will prepare high-quality sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes, ensuring excellent presentation, freshness, and consistency at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality sushi dishes according to traditional methods and company standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Innovate new sushi recipes to keep the menu exciting and aligned with current trends.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure all food preparation complies with health and safety standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and food safety standards.
  • Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Good communication skills and team spirit.
  • Culinary qualification or relevant certification is preferred.
