Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Charcoal Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on grilling techniques. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in a dynamic restaurant environment, delivering high-quality meals to our valued guests. Candidates should have relevant kitchen experience and a keen eye for food safety standards, ensuring every dish is prepared to the highest standard.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals using charcoal grills, ensuring authentic flavour and presentation
  • Manage the entire grilling process, from marinating to serving, maintaining consistency and quality
  • Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, seasoning, and assembling ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service and meal presentation
  • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to uphold hygiene standards

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, especially grilling on charcoal grills
  • Experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality environments
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
