Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team on a permanent part time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creating innovative dishes. As a Chef, you will support the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Your people skills will be essential in supporting the kitchen operations efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production in the kitchen in the head chefs absence.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Implement cost control measures to optimise food production efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a cafe/restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including occasional evenings and weekends.
