Location: Dunstable LU6 1EX — in person
Salary: £23,200–£27,000 per year for full-time employment, depending on experience. Part-time pay will be calculated pro rata based on the agreed weekly hours, subject to applicable minimum wage requirements.

Job type: Permanent, full-time or part-time

About the role

We are looking for a creative, organised and confident individual to support both our social media presence and the daily administration of our accountancy practice.

This varied role combines creating engaging content, being an on-camera face of the practice and helping our team deliver a professional client experience. You must be comfortable regularly appearing and speaking in videos for our social media channels.

An accountancy background is not required, and technical support will be provided. Previous experience in a professional office environment is preferred, but we also welcome applicants who can demonstrate the skills, confidence and ability to succeed in the role.

Key responsibilities

Social media and content creation

  • Update website content and manage our social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
  • Plan, film, edit and publish short videos, reels, graphics and posts.
  • Appear on camera to introduce our services, share updates and showcase our team.
  • Write engaging captions and prepare simple video scripts with input from our accountants.
  • Maintain a content calendar and monitor engagement.
  • Respond to general social media enquiries and refer technical questions to the appropriate colleague.

Administration and client support

  • Answer incoming calls, welcome visitors and direct enquiries to the correct team member.
  • Manage general emails, appointments and client follow-ups.
  • Open, scan, organise and distribute incoming correspondence.
  • Assist with document preparation, filing and maintaining client records.
  • Follow up with clients for outstanding documents.
  • Support colleagues with day-to-day administrative tasks and office supplies.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling client information and creating content.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties necessary to support the firm’s social media, marketing and administrative operations.

Skills and qualities

  • Confident, clear and professional communication, both on camera and with clients.
  • Creativity and a practical interest in social media and content creation.
  • Familiarity with Canva, CapCut or similar design and video-editing tools.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to balance content deadlines with office tasks.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, email and general office systems.
  • Attention to detail, reliability and a positive approach to teamwork.

Previous experience in administration, customer service or managing social media would be an advantage. Content created for personal projects or your own channels is also welcome.

What we offer

  • A friendly, supportive team.
  • Training and development opportunities.
  • A varied role within a growing accountancy practice.
  • Free on-site parking.
