Litigation Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant

The Role

You'll provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Litigation department, helping to ensure matters progress smoothly while delivering an outstanding service to clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing legal documents, court forms and correspondence
  • Audio and copy typing of legal documents and letters
  • Opening and maintaining client files using the firm's case management system
  • Managing solicitors' diaries, appointments and key litigation deadlines
  • Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, experts and third parties
  • Preparing court bundles and assisting with trial and hearing preparation
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Assisting with billing, file management and general departmental administration

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Assistant
  • Preferably, previous experience within a Litigation department (civil, commercial or family)
  • Excellent typing, organisational and administrative skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
