Lecturer in Hospitality & Catering

Ref: 138352 & 153641

Hours of work: Up to 37 hours per week. We can accommodate part time contracts, please specify how many hours you are looking for in your application

Salary: £33,202 to £42,266 full time equivalent

Location: Wakefield College

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lecturer in Hospitality & Catering to join our team, based within our award-winning Gaskells training restaurant, where you will provide outstanding teaching across levels 1 - 3 within the area of Hospitality and Catering.

As a Lecturer in Hospitality and Catering, this will involve the delivery of practical sessions in both kitchens and the restaurant, supported by theory delivery of food units and health and safety legislation.

As a Lecturer in Hospitality & Catering, you should have:

  • A level 3 diploma in either patisserie or kitchen and larder.

- GCSE A*-C / 9 - 4 in English and Maths or equivalent

  • Assessor and IQA qualifications is desirable
  • Experience of working with 16-18 year olds, ideally in a teaching capacity
  • Recent and up to date knowledge of current industry standards.
