SENIOR CARE WORKER / SENIOR CARER

Job description:

As Senior care worker you will routinely oversee and monitor care workers. They also attend to the personal needs and comforts of our service users’ care and support needs who live in their accommodation provided by our organisation

Tasks required by this job include:

  • Create initial Support Plan and risk assessment plans
  • Assist with service users overall comfort and well being
  • Provide interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service user
  • Help with daily activities such as letter writing, paying bills, collecting benefits, reminding of appointments and sometimes accompanying the clients to the GP, Mental Health and other services they require to get their health back on track
  • Help clients connect to the families and friends and other social network as applicable
  • undertake light cleaning and domestic duties including meal preparation as required;
  • Help manage clients' accommodation, for example, cleanliness and health and safety of the accommodation and communal areas
  • monitors service users, and contributes to record keeping;
  • liaises with professional staff in carrying out Support plans.
  • Have one to one or group sessions with clients as per their support plans to increase independance and move on.
  • Create and update clients notes at the end of the one to one or group sessions.
  • Liase with probation as required by client Support contract.
  • Deal with Anti Social behaviour.
  • Report maintenace issues and ensure safety of clients.
  • Takes responsibility for the shift and for the service while on duty
  • Responds to emergencies
  • Liaise with Homelessness and Housing Workers and Managers to ensure the Support needed is up to date and to the standards required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.83-£15.00 per hour
